QR Code

What is a QR code?

QR stands for “Quick Response.” A QR code is a two-dimensional scannable image composed of squares and dots that hold data. It was meant to replace the barcodes and can hold more information depending upon its density. A QR code is a simple and quick machine-readable way to represent data in a compact form.

While you can only read a barcode using a laser scanner, a QR code was designed to be read using a phone camera. This makes a QR code much more valid and user-friendly than a barcode in the modern world.
