You can send it to complete <a href=\"\/hc\/en_IN\/a-z-guide\/contact-list\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">contact lists<\/a>, a few <a href=\"\/hc\/en_IN\/a-z-guide\/segment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">segments<\/a> from a contact list, or everyone in a contact list <a href=\"\/hc\/en_IN\/popular\/exclude-contacts-from-campaign\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">except those from a segment<\/a>, etc.<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s look at the different recipient selection options available and how they impact your campaign sending:<\/p>\n<div style=\"padding: 14px 0;\"><\/div>\n<h2>Option I &#8211; Select SMS Recipients from CRM<\/h2>\n<p>If you wish to send a campaign to a contact list, use the checkbox displayed against the list name to select the relevant contact list<em>&nbsp;(as highlighted in the screenshot below)<\/em>.<\/p>\n<div style=\"padding: 14px 0;\"><\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2265 size-full\" title=\"SMS campaign recipients\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mainbrainer.com\/hc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/recipients-sms-sending.png\" alt=\"SMS campaign recipients\"><\/p>\n<div style=\"padding: 20px 0;\"><\/div>\n<p>When you select a contact list, all its constituent segments are selected by default.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"elevio-box-warning\"><p><strong>Note:&nbsp;<\/strong>In case you select a contact list and then manually uncheck its constituent segment, the contacts of the unchecked segment will be <span aria-label=\"Excluding contacts from receiving campaigns\" data-elevio-article=\"769\">excluded<\/span> from the recipient list. That is, the campaign will not be sent to the contacts that are a part of that segment, even if those contacts are a part of another contact list\/segment that is a part of the recipient list.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\">\n<li>\n<h3>Sending to Some Segments of a Contact List<\/h3>\n<p>If you wish to send the campaign to a selected number of segments from a contact list, use the arrow against the list name to expand and view the list segments <em>(as highlighted in the screenshot below).&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n<div style=\"padding: 14px 0;\"><\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2267 size-full\" title=\"SMS recipients list overview\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mainbrainer.com\/hc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/select-crm-list-sms-sending.png\" alt=\"SMS campaign recipients. A sub list is highlighted\"><\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>Excluding a Contact Segment from the Sending<\/h3>\n<p>If you wish to <a href=\"\/hc\/en_IN\/popular-searches\/excluding-contacts-from-receiving-campaigns\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">exclude a segment of contacts from receiving a campaign<\/a>, select the contact list whose constituent segment you wish to exclude. Hover the mouse over the segment you wish to exclude, an <strong>Exclude&nbsp;<\/strong>button will be visible on hover <em>(as highlighted in the screenshot below)<\/em>.<\/p>\n<div style=\"padding: 14px 0;\"><\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2269\" title=\"Exclude SMS segment\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mainbrainer.com\/hc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/exclude-segment-sms-sending.png\" alt=\"SMS campaign recipients. The exclude button in the list is highlighted\"><\/p>\n<div style=\"padding: 20px 0;\"><\/div>\n<p>Click the <strong>Exclude&nbsp;<\/strong>button to exclude the contacts of the segment from receiving the campaign. The campaign will not be sent to any contact that is a part of the excluded segment, even if the contact is also a part of the other lists\/segments that are a part of the recipient list.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div style=\"padding: 14px 0;\"><\/div>\n<h2>Option II &#8211; Adding Recipients Manually<\/h2>\n<p>If you wish to type in the recipient details, click the <strong>Add Recipients Manually<\/strong> button <em>(as highlighted in the screenshot below).<\/em><\/p>\n<div style=\"padding: 14px 0;\"><\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2270 size-full\" title=\"SMS add recipients manually\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mainbrainer.com\/hc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/add-recipients-manually-sms.png\" alt=\"SMS campaign recipients. Herein, use the fields:<\/p>\n<div style=\"padding: 14px 0;\"><\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2271 size-full\" title=\"SMS CRM search option\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mainbrainer.com\/hc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/crm-search-sms-sending.png\" alt=\"SMS campaign recipients. Add recipients manually extension. Search CRM option\"><\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\">\n<li><strong>Search CRM<\/strong> to search the CRM for a contact that already exists in the CRM. You can search for the intended contact by entering either the name or the mobile number in the search field and then select the intended contact from the dropdown.<\/li>\n<li><strong>I Agree&nbsp;<\/strong>checkbox to confirm that you have explicit SMS opt-in consent from the contacts you are adding manually to the recipient list.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Select Country<\/strong> to choose the country where the recipient\u2019s mobile number is registered.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mobile Number<\/strong> to enter the mobile number of the intended recipient, and click Add.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Recipients&nbsp;<\/strong>to view the list of manually added recipients.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote class=\"elevio-box-info\"><p><strong>Note:<\/strong> All the contacts added manually will also be added to the CRM with their <a href=\"\/hc\/en_IN\/a-z-guide\/opt-in\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">opt-in<\/a> status as opted-in.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"aricle_container\">\n<div style=\"padding: 14px 0;\"><\/div>\n<h2>Option III &#8211; Quick Import Contact<\/h2>\n<p>Quick Import allows you to import CSV\/XLS files on the platform. Once imported, the platform will automatically list<br \/>\nyour contact list underneath.<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\">\n<li>Click on <b>Quick Import<\/b>.<\/li>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2270 size-full\" title=\"SMS Quick Import Option\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mainbrainer.com\/hc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/sms-quick-import.png\" alt=\"SMS Quick Import option.
