Before we show you how to use the Question Widget here are some terminologies you should get familiar with.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"padding-top: 1rem;\">There are six types of question buttons available, namely:<\/h2>\n<ul style=\"list-style: decimal;\">\n<li><strong>Radio Button:<\/strong> Radio button allows you to offer more than two options for the question but there is only one correct answer.<br \/>\n<blockquote class=\"elevio-box-success\" style=\"margin-top: 1rem;\"><p><strong>For example,<\/strong><br \/>\nWhat is the capital of Germany?<br \/>\nAnswer Choices &#8211; Berlin, Budapest, Mumbai, London<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Check-Box button:<\/strong> It is the perfect button for multiple-answer questions.<br \/>\n<blockquote class=\"elevio-box-success\" style=\"margin-top: 1rem;\"><p><strong>For example,<\/strong><br \/>\nWhich dog breed do you like the most?<br \/>\n(You can choose more than one answer)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Open Text button:<\/strong> It allows your audience to write an answer based on their opinion. The Open Text button is perfect for feedback or suggestions.<br \/>\n<blockquote class=\"elevio-box-success\" style=\"margin-top: 1rem;\"><p><strong>For example,<\/strong><br \/>\nWhat would you suggest for a better Company-employee relationship?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"padding-bottom: 0.7rem;\"><strong>Drop-down, select one:<\/strong> It is a type of Radio button but the options are available in a drop-down format.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Matrix (Single):<\/strong> It is the ideal choice for rating-based questions.<br \/>\n<blockquote class=\"elevio-box-success\" style=\"margin-top: 1rem;\"><p><strong>For example,<\/strong><br \/>\nHow would you rate your dine-in experience?<br \/>\nRatings Scale &#8211; 1, 2, 3, 4, 5<br \/>\nRatings Against &#8211; Ambience, Hygiene, Food, Overall<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Matrix (Multiple):<\/strong> You can pick the Matrix (Multiple choice) button for questions with multiple-rating options.<br \/>\n<blockquote class=\"elevio-box-success\" style=\"margin-top: 1rem;\"><p><strong>For example,<\/strong><br \/>\nWhich motorcycle would you prefer for the following scenarios?<br \/>\nScenarios &#8211; Racing, Aventure-cruising, Daily ride<br \/>\nChoices &#8211; Yamaha, Royal Enfield, Honda, Harley Davidson<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Each question button has its own guidelines that you can set during the editing process.<\/p>\n<h2>Other functionalities involved are:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Category:<\/strong> Available under Settings, a Category helps you define your questions. For example, you can create a category \u201cPersonal Information,\u201d and assign the questions in your survey under this category, like Gender, Marital Status, etc.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Score:<\/strong> Score helps you in analyzing your <a href=\"\/hc\/en_IN\/survey\/performance\/insights\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">survey\u2019s performance<\/a>. You can set scores for each question that would be calculated at the end of the survey. It helps you in analyzing your survey\u2019s performance. You can compare the total score with the score at the end of a survey period.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The scores are calculated depending on certain criteria defined for each question. MainBrainer calculates the score twice i.e total score at the time of survey creation and score after the form-filling process.<\/p>\n<h3>Here\u2019s how the UI calculates the scores for each question type.<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><b>Radio button<\/b><\/strong><\/li>\n<ul style=\"list-style: circle;\">\n<li><b>For the total scoring<\/b> \u2013 The UI picks the highest value among all the options.<\/li>\n<li><b>After the form-filling process<\/b> &#8211; The UI picks the marked option only.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><b>Check boxes<\/b><\/strong><\/li>\n<ul style=\"list-style: circle;\">\n<li><b>For the total scoring<\/b> \u2013 The UI uses the sum of all the options except those with negative scores.<\/li>\n<li><b>After the form-filling process<\/b> &#8211; The UI uses the sum of the marked options.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><b>Open Text<\/b><\/strong><\/li>\n<ul style=\"list-style: circle;\">\n<li>For the total score and the form-filling process, the UI uses the assigned score.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><b>Drop-down, select one<\/b><\/strong><\/li>\n<ul style=\"list-style: circle;\">\n<li><b>For the total scoring<\/b> &#8211; The UI picks the highest value among all the options.<\/li>\n<li><b>After the form-filling process<\/b> &#8211; The UI picks the marked option only.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><b>Matrix (Single choice)<\/b><\/strong><\/li>\n<ul style=\"list-style: circle;\">\n<li><b>For the total scoring<\/b> &#8211; The UI uses the maximum score in the column and multiplies it with the number of rows.<\/li>\n<li><b>After the form-filling process<\/b> &#8211; The UI uses the sum of marked options.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><b>Matrix (Multiple choice)<\/b><\/strong><\/li>\n<ul style=\"list-style: circle;\">\n<li><b>For the total scoring<\/b> &#8211; The UI uses the sum of all the columns except the negative scores and multiplies it with the number of rows.<\/li>\n<li><b>After the form-filling process<\/b> &#8211; The UI uses the sum of marked options.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<div style=\"padding: 14px 0;\"><\/div>\n<h2>How to Add a Question Widget to a Survey?<\/h2>\n<h3>Step 1 \u2013 Navigate to the Survey Creator<\/h3>\n<p>Open the Survey Creator to start <a href=\"\/hc\/en_IN\/survey\/creator\/create\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">creating your survey<\/a>.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1797\" title=\"Survey creator area\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mainbrainer.com\/hc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/survey-question-creator.png\" alt=\"Survey creator area. Click on the text box under <b>Text<\/b> and type your question. You can Delete or add more if you want. After this, you can add a <b>Comment<\/b> section under the question if you want the audience to provide their opinions.<br \/>\nSelect <b>Mandatory<\/b> if you don\u2019t want the customer to skip this question. You can even set the <b>Score<\/b> for the <b>Matrix Columns<\/b>.
