{"id":5981,"date":"2021-12-13T10:25:32","date_gmt":"2021-12-13T10:25:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/helptest.mainbrainer.com\/knowledge-base\/send-your-first-email-campaign\/"},"modified":"2022-06-10T04:38:00","modified_gmt":"2022-06-10T04:38:00","slug":"send-your-first-email-campaign","status":"publish","type":"ht_kb","link":"https:\/\/www.mainbrainer.com\/hc\/en_GB\/start\/send\/send-email-campaign\/","title":{"rendered":"Send Your First Email Campaign"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"aricle_container\">\n<p>Now that you have <a href=\"\/hc\/en_GB\/email\/creator\/how-to-create-email\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">created your first Email Campaign<\/a>, it\u2019s time to send it to your customers and let it work its magic!<\/p>\n<p>You can either send the campaign right away or schedule the sending for a later date\/time.<\/p>\n<p>In this article, we guide you through the Email sending process step-by-step:<\/p>\n<h2>Step 1<\/h2>\n<h2>Navigate to the Email sending screen.<\/h2>\n<p>Using the <strong>Main Menu<\/strong> on the left, expand the <strong>Send<\/strong> dropdown menu and click <strong>Email<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<div style=\"padding: 14px 0;\"><\/div>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1483 size-full\" title=\"Send email main menu\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mainbrainer.com\/hc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/send-email-campaign-menu.png\" alt=\"Email campaign, send menu. Email highlighted\" width=\"488\" height=\"634\"><\/p>\n<div style=\"padding: 20px 0;\"><\/div>\n<p>Enter a relevant name and description for this sending on the subsequent screen. Note that this name and description will only be visible to you and will be used to display the list of scheduled sendings on your <a href=\"\/hc\/en_GB\/start\/understand\/dashboard\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dashboard<\/a>. Your customers will not see this, so make it as informative as you want. It will make sending identification easier in the future.<\/p>\n<p>Click <strong>Continue<\/strong> when done.<\/p>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<h2>Step 2<\/h2>\n<h2>Choose your Email recipients<\/h2>\n<p>This screen displays all the <a href=\"\/hc\/en_GB\/a-z-guide\/contact-list\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">contact lists<\/a> created in the <a href=\"\/hc\/en_GB\/start\/understand\/crm\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">MainBrainer CRM<\/a>. In case you haven&#8217;t imported your contacts to the CRM yet, create a new List and <a href=\"\/hc\/en_GB\/start\/setup\/import-first-contacts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">import your first set of contacts<\/a>. Then, use the checkboxes under the <strong>Action<\/strong> tab to select the contact list(s) to which you wish to send the Email campaign.<\/p>\n<div style=\"padding: 14px 0;\"><\/div>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1485 size-full\" title=\"Email recipients\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mainbrainer.com\/hc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/email-recipients.png\" alt=\"Email campaign, email recipients. Search CRM option\" width=\"564\" height=\"616\"><\/p>\n<div style=\"padding: 20px 0;\"><\/div>\n<p>In this section, use the fields:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: circle;\">\n<li><strong>Search CRM<\/strong> to search the CRM for a contact that already exists in the CRM. You can search for the intended contact by entering either the name or the Email address in the search field. Select the intended contact from the dropdown.<\/li>\n<li>If you need to add contacts manually, first make sure you have Email Opt-in consent and then check the <strong>I Agree<\/strong> checkbox.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Email<\/strong> to enter the Email address of the intended recipient and click <strong>Add<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Recipients<\/strong> to view the list of manually added recipients.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote class=\"elevio-box-info\"><p><strong>Note<\/strong>: All the contacts added here manually will also be added to the CRM with their Email opt-in status as <strong>Opted-in<\/strong>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Click <strong>Continue<\/strong> when done.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"elevio-box-info\"><p><strong>Suggested Reading:<\/strong> <a href=\"\/hc\/en_GB\/a-z-guide\/single-opt-in-signups\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">What are single opt-in signups?<\/a> <a href=\"\/hc\/en_GB\/a-z-guide\/double-opt-in-signups\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">What are double opt-in signups?<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<div style=\"padding: 14px 0;\"><\/div>\n<h2>Step 3<\/h2>\n<h2>Type in your Email Content<\/h2>\n<p>Use the subsequent screen to specify the Email campaign that you wish to send and the relevant sender details:<\/p>\n<div style=\"padding: 14px 0;\"><\/div>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1489 size-full\" title=\"Email distribution settings\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mainbrainer.com\/hc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/email-campaign-distribution.png\" alt=\"Email creator, email campaign distribution settings\" width=\"439\" height=\"626\"><\/p>\n<div style=\"padding: 20px 0;\"><\/div>\n<p>Herein, use the fields:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: circle;\">\n<li><strong>Sender Name<\/strong> &#8211; to select the Sender Name for this campaign distribution. This name helps the Email recipients identify the sender of the Email.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sender Email<\/strong> &#8211; to select the Email address that you want to send the Email campaign from.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Reply To &#8211;<\/strong> to select the Email address at which you would like to receive replies from this campaign\u2019s recipients. Use the option <strong>Create New<\/strong> from the dropdown menu to create a new reply-to Email address.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Subject<\/strong> &#8211; to enter the text that you would like to appear in the Email\u2019s subject field. Improve your campaign\u2019s open rate by adding a catchy subject line that prompts your recipients to open and read your Email.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Pre Header<\/strong> &#8211; to enter in the text that you would like to appear in the Email\u2019s pre header area, i.e. the area after the subject line. Try to add a summary of the campaign as a pre header. It gives your recipients an idea about what is inside the Email before even actually opening it.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Email Campaign &#8211;<\/strong> to select the Email campaign that you wish to distribute.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As you select the Email campaign, a <strong>preview&nbsp;<\/strong>area opens on the right side <em>(as highlighted in the screenshot below)<\/em>. Send now or schedule email sending\" width=\"524\" height=\"1127\"><\/p>\n<div style=\"padding: 20px 0;\"><\/div>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: circle;\">\n<li>use the menu option <strong>Send Now<\/strong> to send your Email campaign immediately, or<\/li>\n<li>use the menu option <strong>Schedule For<\/strong> to <a href=\"\/hc\/en_GB\/email\/send-email\/schedule-campaign\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">schedule your Email campaign sending for a later time\/date<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div style=\"padding: 14px 0;\"><\/div>\n<h2>Step 5<\/h2>\n<h2>Set Goals for your Email sending<\/h2>\n<p>You can set <a href=\"\/hc\/en_GB\/a-z-guide\/goal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">goals<\/a> (i.e., performance targets) for your Email sending on the subsequent screen. Though highly recommended, this step is optional. If you decide to skip goal setting at this stage, you can also<a href=\"\/hc\/en_GB\/email\/goals\/email-sending-goals\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">&nbsp;set goals for your Email sending<\/a> later.<\/p>\n<div style=\"padding: 14px 0;\"><\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1492\" title=\"Set email sending goals\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mainbrainer.com\/hc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/set-email-campaign-goals.png\" alt=\"Email creator, set your campaign goals.
