The default fields and custom fields is highlighted\" width=\"640\"><\/p>\n<div style=\"padding: 24px 0;\"><\/div>\n<h2>Step 2<\/h2>\n<h2>Edit the Custom Field Properties<\/h2>\n<p>The MainBrainer CRM helps you truly customize your custom fields to suit your requirements. For each custom field, you can customize if the data field is mandatory for contact addition, which lists you want the field to be a part of, etc.<\/p>\n<p>As you navigate to the list of your custom fields as explained in the above steps, against each custom field, you can view the previous settings under the header <strong>Preference center<\/strong> <em>(highlighted in the screenshot below).<\/em><\/p>\n<div style=\"padding: 14px 0;\"><\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1585\" title=\"CRM custom field settings page\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mainbrainer.com\/hc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/cdp-custom-field-settings-page.png\" alt=\"CRM custom fields properties. Checkboxes with alternatives visible\" width=\"504\" height=\"128\"><\/p>\n<div style=\"padding: 20px 0;\"><\/div>\n<ol>\n<li>The <strong>Visible&nbsp;<\/strong>Checkbox &#8211; Check this box if you want to use this data field in your signup forms.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>Required&nbsp;<\/strong>Checkbox &#8211; Check this box if you wish to make the input in the data field mandatory when used in signup forms.<\/li>\n<li>The<strong>&nbsp;Include in all lists&nbsp;<\/strong>Checkbox &#8211; &nbsp;Check this box if you wish to include the custom field in all your CRM lists.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>You can, at any time:<\/h4>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: circle;\">\n<li>edit the custom field&#8217;s name or other properties <em>(except its data type)&nbsp;<\/em>by using the <strong>Edit<\/strong> button for that field <em><em>(highlighted in the screenshot below)<\/em><\/em>\n<div style=\"padding: 14px 0;\"><\/div>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1587 size-full\" title=\"CRM checkbox alternatives\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mainbrainer.com\/hc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/cdp-custom-field-edit.png\" alt=\"Checkbox alternatives, required and included in all lists.
